Brilliant article by @izakaminska - and also provides (unintentionally) why I like investing in and building businesses from the ground up. It’s the only way I can see of reducing exogenous risk by taking direct responsibility for creating something of value. The irony is that historically most people would have considered these types of investments as amongst the riskiest, and indeed risks abound, but they are less subject to the inherent (and unmanageable) instability that has permeated more generic “macro” assets that heretofore were (are?) considered low risk.
